Assam Pedas Ikan Bawal

I'm thinking what to eat for dinner, so I make a simple menu, cooked Assam Pedas Ikan Bawal (only that raw material available in my freezer) even though I can buy a raw food at Jusco AU2 (just accross the road, opposite to my apartment) but I need to hurry cause 2 of my son dah lapar and they need to eat before they go for tuition class.



Recipie: Assam Pedas Ikan Bawal

Ingredient:
2 Ikan Bawal (cut into half)
10 ocras
1 lemon
1 clove garlic
3 pcs assam keping
1 onion
1/2 inch tumeric
1/2 inch ginger
5 tbs cooking oil
salt to taste
2 tbs sugar
10 dried chilles
6 cili padi
tamarind juice
4 cup of plain water
1 tbsp belacan

Method:

1.Deep fried fish.
2. Blend chilles, cili padi, ginger, tumeric, onion, garlic and belacan.
3. Heat oil and fry the spices and fry till fragrant.
4. Add sugar & salt.
5. Add tamarind juice, asam keping and squeeze the lemon.
6. Add water and boil it about 5 minutes.
7. Add fried fish and ocras and simmer about 3 minutes. Then ready to serve.
